Meet the Author, Rev. Laura Schultz
Rev. Laura Schultz lives in Luray, Virginia, in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with her two 9 year-old old golden retrievers: honey-colored energetic "Abby" and blonde affectionate “Sadie.” She served for many years in churches in the Washington, D.C. area where she used worship arts to bring vitality and variety to the worship services. Recently she served in Lakeside, Montana, near Glacier National Park, and Luray, Virginia, near Shenandoah National Park. She's passionate about using worship to increase attendance, membership, community belonging, and involve all ages in worship. Although Rev. Laura has preached over 1,000 sermons, she believes that people hear God speak as strongly through drama, dance, music, fine arts, and media as they do through the spoken word. She writes this book to show how easy it is to involve all people in the church to praise the Lord and inspire others through the artistic gifts that God has given to them.
An Introduction:
Can a small church actually utilize Drama and Dance and other creative elements? Oh, absolutely - and on a tiny budget with minimal preparation. This book will help you catch a vision for enhancing your Sunday services, involving your people and unleashing gifts, talents and skills heretofore unseen by your congregation. Laura Schultz has been there and done that. Through this book, she'll service as your producer and director, script-supplier and problem-solver.
Drama and Dance in the Church will communicate, educate and inspire everyone in your congregation.
